The House

The exterior of our house has great curb appeal. All of the flower boxes and landscaping add loads of charm. As do the original windows. There are a couple of big trees that provide lots of shade and give the house that Sugar House feel that we love.

In April 2007 we had a new roof put on. It was professionally done and it was completely removed and rebuilt.

Living Room

The living room is where we spend most of our time. It’s located in the front section of the house and has a ton of windows that fill the room with light. It also has a ceiling fan that gives nice airflow. The corner fireplace is very impressive and adds a ton of character to the home.

Dining Room

The dining room in our house is one of our favorite rooms. The ebony floors are stunning, the ceiling is really high, and the bay window lets in so much light. The room has a very open feel and is great for eating and hanging out.

Master Bedroom

Our master bedroom is great. The color is soothing and the window (new in 2005) lets in just the right amount of soft light. Having a whole wall of built-ins is pretty awesome too. That much storage is pretty hard to find in an old home.

Bedroom #2

This is the bedroom in the back of the house. We use it for our office, but it would be a great nursery or kid’s room. Three windows provide a lot of natural light.

Bedroom #3

This is the bedroom downstairs. We didn’t need the additional space, but it would make a great office, kid’s room, or guest room. The carpet is very soft and comfy.

Kitchen

The kitchen is located towards the back of the house. It has a lot of character and charm. It has newer cabinets, an island with a stainless steel top, a window (recently updated in 2005) above the sink, and a gas range.

The ceilings are a corrugated metal, which adds a lot of additional light to the kitchen because of the reflection. There is also a ceiling fan in the kitchen for great airflow.

Mudroom

Right off the kitchen is the mudroom, which we’ve turned into an office by custom-fitting a counter-height workbench in the alcove. This is a great place to pay bills or surf the web without feeling disconnected from the house.

This room has hardwood floors, an accented brick wall, a chocolate brown accent wall, and an exterior door and window that bring a lot of natural light into the room.

Backyard

The house is on a .10 acre lot, which provides plenty of space in the backyard. The owners before us created a nice size concert patio perfect for BBQ's and relaxing. There are trees on both east and west sides of the lot, which provide shade in the morning and evening.

We don't have any pets, but the yard would be great for animals.

Bathroom

The bathroom has a slate tile floor, stainless steel counter top, tile surround in the shower, and a window that was replaced in 2005. The bathroom is bright and clean.

Downstairs Family Room

The basement was recently finished with brand new, high-quality carpet and paint. It’s a great room for hanging out, playing games, and movie watching.
